On July 27, the inauguration ceremony of XCMG Indonesia New Energy Manufacturing Base was held at Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park (IWIP). With the first batch of new energy equipment officially rolling off the production line and delivered to Tsingshan Industrial’s IWIP Park, XCMG’s first overseas new energy factory was officially put into production. Nearly 100 guests, including Song Zhike, Vice President of XCMG Machinery, management representatives of Weda Bay Industrial Park, customers and industry partners, attended the event.

2026 marks the opening year of the 14th Five-Year Plan period. XCMG is accelerating the five-pronged transformation of high-end orientation, intellectualization, green development, globalization and service orientation, and takes global operation and green industry development as two core priorities of its transformation. XCMG’s first overseas new energy factory is a key move that deeply integrates the two transformations.
Integrating complete machine manufacturing, working condition adaptive R&D and localized services, XCMG Indonesia New Energy Manufacturing Base greatly shortens the delivery cycle, and precisely serves diverse scenarios including Indonesia’s mining, infrastructure construction and industrial park logistics.
Rooted in green development, the new energy manufacturing base relies on localized intelligent manufacturing capacity to supply electric construction machinery on a large scale, empowering the low-carbon transformation and efficiency improvement of Indonesia’s key industries.
It also lays out the circular operation of used equipment and a component remanufacturing system synchronously to maximize the utilization efficiency of industrial resources.
At present, local employees account for nearly 80% of XCMG Indonesia Region. XCMG keeps expanding local employment positions and cultivating a local skilled talent team. XCMG Machinery was once again listed on the 2026 FORTUNE China ESG Impact List, remaining the only enterprise in the construction machinery industry to be consecutively selected.
From Point Breakthrough to Full-Chain Rooting
The roll-off and delivery of the first batch of new energy equipment serves as a benchmark example of two-way empowerment between XCMG and Tsingshan Industrial’s Indonesia Weda Bay Park in terms of “technology + scenarios” and “manufacturing + market”.
XCMG has deeply cultivated the intelligent manufacturing of new energy construction machinery, while Weda Bay Industrial Park boasts a mature industrial ecosystem and extensive application scenarios in Indonesia. Since the signing of the agreement, the two parties have completed the construction and commissioning of the factory in the shortest time possible. The cross-border collaboration reshapes the mode of Chinese enterprises going global hand in hand, and delivers a synergistic effect of “1+1>2”.
Having deeply cultivated the Indonesian market for more than 30 years, XCMG has built a full‑localized operation and service system. It has laid out a complete network of sales and service outlets, equipped with over 100 professional service vehicles, and implemented a three‑level spare parts maintenance system to ensure the reliable operation of more than 30,000 XCMG machines locally.
With the commissioning of the new energy manufacturing plant, XCMG has fully closed the integrated industrial chain of R&D, production, supply, sales and service in Indonesia. Locally manufactured new energy equipment has become a key pillar for the high‑quality development of local green infrastructure.
Based on the new starting point of the 15th Five-Year Plan, XCMG takes the Indonesia New Energy Intelligent Manufacturing Base as a benchmark sample for overseas intelligent manufacturing.
